James Franco, as what most people call him, is a Renaissance man. Mainly because this 33 year-old actor can be found anywhere and everywhere! Literally.

He has done a number of beautiful films in his career like "Tristan and Isolde", "Annapolis", the "Spider-Man" series, "Milk", "Howl", "Flyboys" and his most recent is "127 Hours", where he received his first ever Academy Award nomination.

He's also into writing, directing and even painting. But James is also an Academe. This gorgeous hunk has gone and finished several college degrees from respected schools across US. James first went to UCLA to study English but eventually dropped out because he wanted to become an actor.

In 2006, he realized that he wanted to be more than actor, and hence, re-enrolled at UCLA as an English major with a creative writing concentration. In 2008, he then moved to New York to simultaneously attend graduate school at Columbia University's MFA writing program, film making at New York University's Tisch School of Arts and fiction writing at Brooklyn College.

In 2010, he received his MFA from Columbia University and goes to Yale Univ. to attend his Ph.D. in English.

Indeed a modern Renaissance man, James said that he wants to go to school because it's his way to pursue his other interests like writing and directing seriously. Furthermore, the "127 Hours" star said that he loves being around with people who shares the same interest with him and he is having a great experience.
