lol you guys are all wrong to get it u must defeat elite 4 and trainer tower 12 times. 3 times each for 1 type of match in trainer tower. then get all 150 pokemons. after that talk to prof oak he will ask u if u want a mystic caller for mew or a mystic star for jirachi noobs

The first one is right but you have to catch it right after you have caught or defeated mewtwo.

To get Mew

Beat the Elite 4 and the Trainer Tower. And complete the National Pokédex, Catch all 150 Pokémon. Talk to Daisy Oak, she'll say there's a new area in Viridian Forest. YOU HAVE TO TALK TO DAISY, OR ELSE IT WON'T WORK. Go in Viridian Forest go all the way northwest and go in the door. There will be a Mew Statue, a pink dot, and a boulder. Move the boulder on the dot, you'll hear a noise. And the statue will move. Save your game. Walk up to the Statue and press the "A" button. It will be a Mew. It will be at level 40. Its moves are: Transform/ Psychic/ Pound and Mega Punch.

Warning! PLEASE READ: IT IS VERY HARD TO CATCH SINCE IT IS A POKEMON THAT YOU CAN CATCH AFTER SO MANY ACHIEVEMENTS. SO YOU SHOULD STILL HAVE YOUR MASTERBALL!!!

I disagree with with this because you can. First you need to trade a Pokemon that knows cut from a different Pokemon game, (ruby, sapphire, maybe fire red) Then save the trip and don't go on the boat that you normally would get cut on. Go beat the elite four with out going on the boat after you've gotten your Pokemon that knows cut you need surf too. go to the dock that leads to the boat surf on the right side of the dock. DONT GO ON THE BOAT! Eventually you'll find a find dock with a truck on it. click on the truck and WHALA! You've got mew.

The only known way of getting mew in Leafgreen is trading it from Emerald or from another gba game that has it. In Emerald you can get mew by obtaining the Old Sea Chart, but you can only get it by going to special Nintendo Events that no longer take place): Sorry.
I've heard that you can find MEW in the Safari Zone, my friend caught one there. It must been very lucky.
Can only capture Mew by going to a Nintendo live event or by using a GameShark or action reply. Hacked Mew's will not obey though.

in the cerulean cave, you have to beat the elite four about 7 times then u go back and catch mew, i recommend using your master ball on mew not mew two

Mew can be found either on Faraway Island or Professor Oak gives it to you after you beat the elite four 12 times and you have a spare slot in your party.
