you don't need a friend code to battle and trade people. you just need a friend with a ds (and a pokemon game) and Internet (optional). with another friend you can do whatever you want. with Internet you can go to the gts and trade pokemon.

Trade it off the GTS or catch it in Pearl, Diamond or Platinum and get a friend to help you trade it over. Or you can get the Heatran from Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs. Other than that, Heatran isn't in the game. (Heatran comes both Male or Female, but they cannot breed. Only one Legendary breeds and that is Manaphy, so you can get Phione. Just like Cresselia is only female, and Latias and Latios.)
