American theater and film actor Jason Butler Harner [b. October 9, 1970] played Gordon Stewart Northcott. American teen soap opera and film actor Eddie Alderson [b. October 27, 1994] played Gordon's nephew, Sanford Clark. Although the real-life Sanford Clark [b. 1928?] was never tried for a role in the murders, he served 23 months at the Whittier State School, now ka the Fred C. Nelles Youth Correctional Center, in Los Angeles County, California. He then was deported to his native Canada. There, he served in World War II, and then was employed by the Canadian postal service for 28 years. He and wife June adopted two children, and raised both boys. They had been married 55 yeas when Clark died, in 1991. Clark's uncle Gordon Northcott was executed, by hanging, on October 2, 1930. Sarah Louise Northcott, Gordon's apparent mother, was sentenced to life imprisonment, at Tehachapi State Prison, in Kern County, Southern California. But she was paroled after less than 12 years of the sentence had been served.
