Molly Pitcher was born in October 13, 1754 at New Jersey. She licked the water and gave the water to the soldiers as a sign of respect. She was 79 when she died. There is a memorial/grave in memory of her courageousness effort. She fired her husbands cannon at the Battle of Monmouth. She was not very wealthy but became rich and remarried Died January 22, 1832.Her real name was Mary Ludwig Hays McCauley.
