It comes close to being plotless. It is more a reminiscence of a year in the life of a little girl growing up on the American frontier in the late 1860's and early 1870's. Laura Igalls Wilder said she wanted to write the book mostly "to preserve the stories of my father". In later books in the series, plot lines become more part of the structure of each book.

By my count, Sherlock Holmes said that phrase 88 times in 35 of the 60 stories, and he wrote it as a salutation for a letter three more times. The list of stories would indeed be a long one. Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Stan Lee wrote overall plots to the original Spider-man stories and Steve Ditko drew the pages to the stories, adding his own plot elements to the comics narratives.
The Charmed "Unaired Plot" was the one where someone else played Phoebe. As you can guess this plot was not shown on television and just a test run (I think!).
Some authors who have explored the idea that life has no plot include Virginia Woolf, who believed in the stream-of-consciousness style to capture the randomness of life, as well as Albert Camus, who explored the concept of the absurd and how life lacks inherent meaning or purpose.

Direct speech is when the exact words spoken by a character are quoted within quotation marks, like "I am going to the store," she said. Indirect speech conveys the meaning of what was said without quoting the exact words, like She said she was going to the store. Both types of speech are commonly used in stories to bring characters to life and advance the plot.
A plot-based story is one that is told so that the plot, or what happens, is the most important thing in the story. Adventure stories are plot-based. Character-based stories are those where the characters are the most important parts. Series books are usually character-based.
