He got in the army and was selected as the most decorated solider. Additionally, he acted in over 30 movies, like Gone with the Wind and Hell and Back. He once wrote songs as well. He died in 1970 in a plane accident on a business trip to Ronoke, Viriginia, which killed every one in the plane. Audie was awarded over 42 medals in the army.
