You can use Iron on Charizard. You might have maximum of Defense and can't add anymore.
Then that's good but it could of got stronger if you had it hold macho brace while leveling it up and if you used protein, iron, carbos, calcium, zinc and hp up on it it could of gotten even stronger make sure you consider this before training a Pokemon to level 100.
If you mean prevent using Rare Candy, I recommend using stat boosting vitamins like Zinc, Calcium, Iron, etc. to raise a Pokemon's stat or defeating a specific species of Pokemon. The stat is raised by what is known as EVs (Or Effort Values) which are the points for increasing the a permanent stat. 4 EVs are needed for 1 permanent stat and a vitamin offers 10 EVs, or 2 permanent stat points. (Iron raises your Pokemon's Defense by 2 and a half) In this case, Rare Candy wasn't even boosting your Pokemon's stats by EVs, just the level and the normal stats. Here's an example to help you remember: There is a Charizard on both sides; both players have Charizard to face each other. (Let's pretend they have perfect IVs (Individual Values) as well.) The Charizard on player one's side haven't EV trained and mostly used Rare Candies and battled random Pokemon, but player two's Charizard has been properly EV trained with a reduced amount of Rare Candies. He trained his Charizard in the Special Attack stat and the Speed stat to the max possible and 4 EVs in Attack. Because of this, player one's Charizard has a disadvantage and end up being slower than the other Charizard. With just a Dragon Pulse, it can seriously hurt the first Charizard when normally it wouldn't.
There isn't an Iron Works in Pokemon SoulSilver.
at iron island
Umbreon moves: Assurance, Dark pulse, Hyper beam, faint attack Pikachu moves: Volt tackle, thunder, discharge, iron tail Dewgong: Surf, take down, blizzard, aqua tail Victreebell: leaf storm, energy ball, razor leaf, hyper beam Mewtwo: Me first, Aura spere, Hyper beam, flamethrower Charizard: Fly, blast burn, hyper beam, overheat i would evolve pikachu into raichu (if possible) because it has better stats. i would also get rid of charizards hyper beam and replace it with something like fire blast or heat wave and switch fly out for a different move(your choice). i would get rid of mewtwos hyperbeam and replace it with psychic. and switch umbreon and victreeble/umbreons hyper beam for a different move (also your choice). killa425
