Bill Gardner was unfortunately one of the victims of CBS Radio's cutbacks on Feb. 7, 2008. The ONLY reason for firing him was to cut back on their budget, which really is horrible to fire someone with such great talent and not have a chance to say goodbye to the listeners, including those who have listened to him for 9 years. So I know many people are wondering what happened, unless they search it on the internet.

Why did John Michaels get fired from KOOL FM in Phoenix?

It was due to budget cuts, unfortunately. The whole year of 2008 practically, we've seen so many of the most devoted and talented on-air (and off) radio people get fired! This economy isn't helping. I guess CBS Radio's route of budget cutting involves firing the people that make them stay in business. John Michaels was the life of the morning show.
