∙ 14y agoBecause, in their greed for Mirthril, they mined too deep and "freed" a Bolrog. Bolrogs were "demi-gods" in lot with Morgoth (the most powerful - but evil - god). Also perceived as justification for Dwarves as a "lesser" and "uncouth" race by Elrond and Elves in general.

∙ 12y agoThey saw beautiful lights coming from the Wood Elves feasts and they were extremely hungry so they were going to either ask for some food or steal it.
