More than 3 times. 1. Duelist Kingdom - Joey placed 2nd. Yugi placed 1st. 2. Kaiba's Organized- Joey was under the control of Marik and faught Yugi in a Duel. Thats only the 90th Episode and he's already been dueled twice by him. Lol. If you really count every little Duel, They played each other in the first Episode lightly. The entire duel was not shown, just that Joey didn't use Magic cards yet.

As in game wise? The game is a sequel of sorts to battle city set in the manga, no 4kids didn't get this one! Eg. Yugi called Yami "other me" like in the manga and Yami calls Yugi "Partner". Aside from that you must play as the main character with Joey and Yugi exploring many different countries to get the millennium items that where stolen away along with the 3 god cards that where turned to stone. Cards wise there is Dark Magician Knight, The card used to summon him and Sage's Stone all of which are crap and have value to a collector not an actual player. If you try the game use cheats as the game is impossibly hard, you earn low amounts of money to buy over priced cards. You will probably end up with your starter deck at the end of the game.

After beating the expert cup search for Ishizu and you'll have to duel for it. (When I played I had to beat Seto Kaiba for Slifer the Sky Dragon). You can only have one god card at a time unless you use Action Replay cheats. You can trade the god card you get for the one Yami Yugi has or after beating the game you can trade Marik for Ra.
