Why didn't lupin go after harry when he chases after bellatrix after she kills Sirius he knew that bellatrix was a dangerous person and could really hurt harry?

I reckon he was busy duelling the other Death-Eaters. Or maybe he thought that Harry could handle Bellatrix.
It was probably a gesture of letting go... Lupin wanted Harry to feel independent, not alone. Harry had to feel that L trusts him.
