...Mostly it is a matter of your opinion. Who do you like better? Personally, I like Sonic better but I like Mario too.I can admit Mario games are better quality than Sonic's, but Sonic games has been going pretty good lately. As a character, I'd have to go with Sonic. He has more personality to him, he's reckless, cocky, arrogant, but has a kind heart and believes in freedom. His favourite food are chilidogs, which are actually really good. Mario has had a more successful franchise however, but it is not as wide as Sonic's.In a fight, it goes to Sonic. I could write a really, really, long explanation about why, but I think you'd prefer going on Youtube and watching "Death Battle: Mario vs Sonic" if you want a more entertaining fight. Oh, and keep in mind that Super Sonic (when Sonic turns yellow/golden) is also invincible so Star Mario wouldn't be able to instantly kill Super Sonic. Also, after Mario shrinks down to normal size after using the Giant Mushroom, he doesn't get dizzy he is actually having trouble thinking of a power up that Sonic wouldn't be able to counter. Also, Wiz at the end of the video states that even if they used their lesser known power ups such as Hyper Sonic or Ice Flower, it wouldn't change the outcome of the battle. No spoilers on who actually wins, just go watch it if you haven't already.
