Why in Pokemon Emerald after finishing the game your file is deleted?

If you are using an emulator and play on your PC...
It is corrupted, because the ROM is a fake.
If you are playing on GBA (Game Boy Advance or Game Boy Advance SP) means that the catridge is a fake also. Next time buy a emerald catridge that is green the whole catridge green.
There is no way you can fix this, so I suggest you buy a new one. OR you can play with this one but just can't finish the whole game (except if you want your game to corrupt then go ahead)
If you're using an emulator, you can still fix this. Go to Options> Emulator> Save Type then select Flash 128K. After you defeat Wallace the credits will appear then you will go back to the menu. It will say that the previous save file can still be loaded. When you play the game, you will be in your room at Littleroot Town and go downstairs to meet your mom and dad. Hope this helps!

∙ 14y agoYou probably played it on an emulator without configuring the save file type.
In VBA you need to set it to Automatic and Flash 128, and for time events to occur enable Realtime clock as well.

∙ 13y agomainly the reason is the file becomes corrupt at that point and auto deletes or the internal clock runs out and main events that are time based wont happen in game anymore

In your diamond or pearl you have to have accesed the Pal Park. To acces the Pal Park you have to have beaten the elite four and seen all the Pokemon in the Sinnoh reigon. Then, put the Pokemon Emerald on the other slot of your DS. Go on to your DS game, before you continue your game, there should be a button that says Migrate From Emerald. Click on that. It will show you your Pokemon from Pokemon Emerald. Choose the six Pokemon. Now continue your game. Go to the Pal Park, and talk to the worker. Start a catching game. Use the type of pokeballs you have to catch the Pokemon from emerald. Their like master balls. Once you catch the 6 Pokemon you migrated you will exit the catching game and you'll be done. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What happened is you have a fake emerald. I'll guess that when you start it up you get a message saying that the save file's all right. If it deleted it, you have a fake. Go look at other copies of the game on the internet. Compare the color. Different. Answer: A lot of answers may be correct. One may be that your Pokemon emerald game is fake. Like for example my friends fire red is blue and when you save it does`t save. Is it the firs time you save? If the color, graph, ect is all right maybe the game is broken or someone deleted the game files. Someone could even steal your game and change it to an empty one. If I am wrong the only possible answer is that your game has an error while saving or you haven`t beat the league in D/P or platinum plus completing the sinnoth pokedex and showing it to prof oak.

Your Emerald is deleting its save file? Possibly your emerald or diamond version could be corrupt, either from age or action replay codes. I have a Ruby version where the clock battery has run out, now it says the launch is no. 9999 lol. I'm afraid there is nothing to do except get a new emerald version... somehow.
