The mockinjay is a sign of hope for the rebels because the mocking jay is a cross of a jabber jay and and a mocking bird. (the jabber jay was created by the capital in the dark days to give information about the rebels, but it back fired and they were set free to die. But the jabber jays mated with mocking birds to create mocking jays. This also back fired with that and the Capitol doesn't want to remember it.

Because they had to have a fixed schedule every single day printed onto their arms and they were tortured and punnished EXTREMELY just for taking extra food. In the capitol, you could do what you want and eat what you want.

Peeta is captured by the Capitol after Katniss was rescued by the rebellion from the Arena. The Capitol applies Tracker Jacker Venom to Peeta and it makes him want to hate Katniss. Although, A group of soldiers from the Rebellion sneaks into the Capitol to save him but he hates Katniss and it takes him awhile to recover from the venom. In the end Katniss and Peeta go back to District 12, which is mostly rubble, they have 2 children, one boy and one girl.
