Suzanne rejects her request saying that playing with aunties bores her.They become successful in their plan. In the shop, Suzanne walks ahead of the other two. Eleanor starts talking to Bertram. She tells him that Suzanne's b'day comes after her's & that Suzanne being well off always gets nice gifts & she never get anything worth showing. Once her uncle offered her a silver-fox fur coat, but his wife died & he settled abroad. Thus the 'silver-fox fur coat' remained a dream. She also tells since Suzanne goes to lots of dances 'a fan' will please her.A few days later, Suzanne rang up Eleanor to thank her for her gift & informs her Bertram had given her an fan. Eleanor replies that she should see what he had given her and praises hisgenerosity.NB: Bertram has given Eleanor the 'silver-fox fur coat'. Eleanor has lied that her b'daycomesbefore Suzanne's. The incident brings a curtain to their relation.
