As of yet (July 31, 2011) there has been no confirmation or announcement of Game Freak developing a sixth generation of Pokemon. However, because of the franchise's global success and popularity, another generation seems likely. If following the pattern of the previous two generations, (hypothetically) Generation VI should start sometime in late 2014 - 2015.
There is no set amount in each generation, the amounts are as follows: Generation I - 151 Generation II - 256 Generation III - 202 Generation IV - 210 Generation V - 155 Generation VI - only 10 have so far been announced
100. There are 251 Pokemon by the end of the second generation. The first 151 Pokemon were all first generation Pokemon. That leaves you with 100 second generation Pokemon.
Darkrai is a 4th Generation Pokemon, Pokemon FireRed is a 1st Generation Pokemon - 3rd Generation Pokemon of course NOT
