The hype would say so. No bag, high vortex currents and no clog filters ensure there is always vacuum. Personal experience of the DC01, there are times when the dyson is more efficient and times when a conventional cleaner is better. The dyson flexihose rots out and later hoses don't seem any more robust. On the upright the main handle detaches with the hose making movement of the machine, with hose extended, difficult. Retaining clips and switches can be difficult with long nails.

I would like to add a few points here. A lot of the bagless hype is due to clever marketing. The Dyson bagless system is very efficient, but this has lead to a lot of other manufacturers trying to jump on the bagless bandwaggon by creating cheap, unreliable and low performing machines. If you're opting for a bagless machine, it has to be a Dyson. Otherwise, stick with a bagged machine such as a Sebo or a Miele (both of those brands are well known for high performance and reliability).

Do suction cups work inside a vacuum chamber?

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't.... all particles have different densities. unless rubber isn't dense enough to block the impossible zero density of outer-space. 0 is abstract not concrete. I would probably just make my suction cup out of metal and use a dyson vacuum to power it. lol <><><><> NO! A suction cup is held in place by the air OUTSIDE the cup pushing it against the surface. No air in space. No air, no push, no workee.

Does a washing machine clean clothes better than washing by hand?

yes. a hundred times better. Actually not necessarily. Washing by hand works extremely well if done properly. In fact, a company named Dyson in the UK actually designed a washing machine which better imitates the hand washing action to get the clothes cleaner. People tend to assume that just because something is automatic it works better, but this is not always true. Washing by hand does a much better job of flexing the fabric. Of course, it's a lot more work too.

Is the Dyson hand dryer more sanitary than paper towels?

If you are referring to the dyson airblade, then it appears it may actually be more sanitary than paper towels. The airblade uses a HEPA filtration system, so it only blows clean air, and you dont have to touch anything, like the paper towel dispenser.
