In both cases, an unbalanced force will accelerate the object - its velocity will change. For example, if it is initially at rest, it won't remain at rest.

How do unbalanced forces affect motion?

-- An unbalanced group of forces on an object causes the object to accelerate in the direction of the net force. -- If an object is not moving, then the group of forces on it must be balanced, else it would be accelerated.

What is the effect of balanced and unbalanced forces on an object in terms of gravity inertia and friction?

Unbalanced Forces will try to create Motion (Kinetic Energy), balanced Forces do not result in Motion. Gravity, Inertia, and Friction will all try to resist the Motion of the object....unless the Force is in the direction of the Gravitational attraction, then the affect is additive.

How do balanced and unbalanced forces affect the motion of an object?

Objects move according to their net force, or the total amount of force acting on them. Balanced forces are just that, balanced. An object with balanced forces will not move because the opposing forces will cancel each other out. However, if there are unbalanced forces, the object will move in accordance with the force that is greater. When moving though, there is always friction. Whether you be underwater, on the ground, or in the air there is always friction on the Earth. (Besides vacuums, of course.) Force is equal to mass x acceleration. With that you can find the forces of the object if you know its mass and acceleration.

What is the definition of a unbalanced force?

There is no such thing as "an unbalanced force". There are only forces. When two or more separate forces act on the same object, the GROUP of forces may be balanced or unbalanced. If the sizes and directions of all the individual forces add up to zero, then the GROUP of forces is balanced. If one of them changes or goes away, then the GROUP of forces is unbalanced.

What is the unbalanced force that makes an object at rest move into a state of motion?

This is best Answered by realizing that "balanced Forces cannot, collectively, Produce Motion"; ergo, only unbalanced forces can provide - or change the state of - Motion.

Compare how balanced and unbalanced forces affect an object at rest?

balanced forces don't move an object, but unbalanced forces on an object do move

How do balanced forces acting on an object affect its motion. How do unbalanced forces acting on an object affect its motion?

Balanced forces do not change its motion (no acceleration). Unbalanced forces changes the motion of the object (acceleration).

What happens when forces are balanced and unbalanced?

balanced = no movement of the object unbalanced = the object moves

How do forces affect motion when the forces are a balanced and b unbalanced?

If the forces on an object are balanced then the object will not move. This simply means that the forces on the object counteract each other. If they are unbalanced then the object will move under the effect of the resultant force. The resultant force is the combination of all of the forces acting on an object.

How do balanced forces and unbalanced forces differ?

* Balanced: The vector sum of all forces on an object is zero. The object does not accelerate.* Unbalanced: The vector sum of all forces on an object is NOT zero, the object DOES accelerate.

How do balanced forces affect an objects motion?

Balanced forces applied on both sides of an object cause it to be still. Unbalanced forces will cause the object to move away from the strongest force.

What does a unbalanced force cause that a balanced force doesnt?

There is no such thing as "a balanced force" or "a unbalanced force". Only a group of two or more forces can be balanced or unbalanced. An unbalanced group of forces acting on an object causes accelerated motion of the object. A balanced group of forces doesn't.

What are the similarities between balanced and unbalanced forces?

An object with balanced forces acting on it is still. An object with unbalanced forces acting on them moves at an non constant velocity. It is possible for an object to have balanced forces acting on it and yet move in a vacuum.

What does the unbalanced force exerted on object at rest?

When an object is at rest, the forces acting upon it are balanced - there are no unbalanced forces.

How would you put the unbalanced force definition for kids?

it is when an object has unbalanced forces and balanced is when an object has equal forces

How do balance forces acting on an object affect its motion?

When the forces acting on an object are balanced, they cancel each other out and the result is no change in its motion.Balanced forces have no effect on motion. Unbalanced forces cause acceleration.

What does it means if forces are balanced or unbalanced?

Balanced: the vector sum of all forces on an object is zero. Unbalanced: this sum it is not zero.
