Natural selection (the driving force of evolution) is the selection of genetic variations by how they effect the organism's chances of survival or reproduction. If they diminish it's chances, the organism or it's immediate offspring die and the gene is gone. If the genetic variations increase it's chances, then it survives.
Without genetic variations there can be no evolution. Natural selection is the selection (by environmental pressures) of those variations.
Natural selection is when nature selects the most fit organism. The species must evolve in order to fit these needs.
Hope this helps!

There must be genetic variation, the variation must be heritable, and there must be differential reproduction (due to competition).
Natural selection is only the result of changing environments, mutation and the variation resulting therein. Natural selection is the process of adaptive change and the main mechanism of evolution that leads to speciation. Natural selection is a process as mutation and variation are grist to the mill of natural selection.
The four steps of natural selection are- Overproduction- Variation- inherited Variations- Natural Selection
When a mutation occurs in the replication process, it changes certain features, like maybe better eyesight, and maybe bigger eyes, or bigger claws, and the meaning of evolution is when something changes into a better form.
For one, without genetic variation, a species is more likely to face significant danger from disease. In humans there are some diseases that affect a few races more than others, but because of genetic variations, our species as a whole is more likely to adapt to new diseases and survive rather than if everybody had the same predisposition toward a disease.

Mutation can serve up the raw variation that natural selection selects from, thus alleles are changed over time in populations of organisms; evolution.
No. Natural selection requires reproductive variation to work on. Besides reproductive variation and natural selection, there are various forces, biochemical as well as population dynamical, that affect the allelic composition of a population.
evolution. variation and natural selection. DNA!!!!
The environment is the ' natural selector ' of all variation. This is evolution.

Differential selection is just that, differential. Some variation is marginally superior to another variation us fitness difference, so the key is to have variation. Then natural selection will " see " this slight variation and select the better adapted trait against the background of the immediate environment.
Darwinian evolution is descent with modification and natural selection, or, in other terms, reproductive variation and differential reproductive success.
A mutation is any change in the DNA. Mutations provide the genetic variation that evolution by natural selection needs to select from.
