To my understanding, on end of the freezer blows air, quite rapidly, towards the other end which acts like a "vacuum". This is called an "air curtain" and acts just as a door would, keeping cold in and heat out.
Depends what part of the freezer you are gluing.
Any freezer needs to be kept closed as much as possible if you wish for it to remain cold. However a chest freezer will not warm up as fast as an upright freezer. This is because the cold air in the freezer is heavier than the air outside of the freezer. When you open an upright freezer the cold air "falls" out, this can't happen with a chest freezer.
Not Untill 2 yrs of it being open
The Freezer.
Refrigeration works by drawing heat away from the unit. It does this through a process of evaporation.
Supermarket freezers often have lids that are insulated to prevent cold air from escaping when open. Additionally, the design of the freezer typically includes a refrigeration system that continuously circulates cold air to maintain temperature levels, even with an open top. This helps to minimize the loss of cold air and maintain the freezer's internal temperature.
I'm guessing it's because cold sinks and if it's opened from the top, the least cold will escape.
My freezer is at the bottom. The freezer being at the top isn't universal, it was just a common design for a time.
Because cold air rises, very little cold air escapes when you open the top-mounted door of a chest freezer, making it the most efficient style of freezers.
No, no today we no have oven on a freezer
Open the freezer and press the light button that is pressed when you close the freezer. WHen the freezer light is off, you can use the water. Sorry, I havnt tried with ice :(
If you don't want the freezer to get smelly or moldy the lid should be propped open a little. If you can still fit the fridge on, then fine. However do NOT store a fridge lying down - only in it's normal orientation, or you will have compressor problems when using it again.
what may be causing my freezer to work but my refrigerator not to work

75 percent of Americans prefer a side by side fridge freeze over a top freezer model. Since this is the modern way, and the freezer will fit much more in it when it is side by side, as well as the fridge, it has more shelves, and looks better than the top freezer models.
you need the temperature in a freezer to be colder that its' surrounding area for it to work properly
You can buy a refrigerator with the freezer compartment at the bottom if you want It just seems easier to me to have the freezer compartment at the top of the refrigerator if you want to see what's in there without bending over
