tobacco smoke damages the respiratory system and strains the circulatory system, resulting in such diseases as emphysema, cancer, and chronic bronchitis.

The hypotheses being tested are the effect on the respiration rate. In this case the two are warm temperature vs. cold temperature & germinating vs. non germinating. (temperature & germination)
The average ratio of pulse rate to respiration rate is typically around 4:1.
The typical ratio between pulse rate and respiration rate in the human body is about 4:1. This means that for every 4 heartbeats, there is approximately 1 breath taken.
Yes, holding your breath can temporarily decrease respiration rate as the body conserves oxygen. However, once you resume breathing, your respiration rate will increase to compensate for the oxygen deficit accumulated while holding your breath. It is not recommended to intentionally hold your breath for extended periods as it can lead to hypoxia and potentially be harmful.
Factors that affect the rate of cellular respiration include temperature, concentration of reactants (such as glucose and oxygen), availability of enzymes, and pH levels. These factors influence the activity of enzymes involved in the various stages of cellular respiration, ultimately impacting the overall rate of the process.
because yes
respiration rate would increase in order to blow off co2
Based on my own experience, cigarette smoking does have a slight effect on heart rate and blood pressure. Alcohol, caffeine, exercise, heat, stress, certain medications are everyday triggers for increased heart rate (and more so than cigarette smoking from my experience) and the effect can be cummulative for any combination of the above. (ho I am not a health professional)
Actually Smoking Marijuana Decreases The Amount Of Air Entering The Lungs. Marijuana don't really effect the rate of lung growth it mostly effect your growth height kills brain cells and toxicate many of your organs.
The respiration rate is your breathing rate and your pulse rate is your heart beat.
It will affect your lungs.
Like most organisms, when a pea is germinating, or growing, it needs more energy. As such, the respiration increases significantly during this time.

The respiration rate is the number of breaths taken in 1 minute.

As the age increases the metabolic activities decreases therefore the cellular respiration also decreases. The body need little amount of oxygen for the consumption so as the age increase the respiration rate decreases.
