Depends on where it is. In the Atlantic Ocean it will last several hundred years, but not in real good shape. I just saw a NGEO program on ship wrecks in the Black Sea and the water is so deadly to living things that nothing can live in it so the wooden ships found are in perfect condition. Ballard is doing the research with his robot underwater device and they could still see the cut marks on the wood of a ship that is 1,000 years old. That's pretty good.
Wood flooring is real wood, and laminate isn't. Real wood flooring is more expensive and is the real deal. You can buy laminate cheap and it will only last so long.
Firtsly it depends on 'what' chemicals, but also it may depend on 'what' kind of wood (e.g. generally wood can be burned quite easily, but some kinds will not burn at all under normal fire conditions)
Yes water does absorb into wood!
because the pieces that make up the wood are spaced out are the reasons it can stay afloat for a while no matter how large it is but when it does stay in the water for a long time the start to become more close together and when that happends they sink.
yes water can increase the density of water as wood has the power to absorb water and so the density of water is drastically increased
Pressure treated wood can last up to 20 years in water, depending on the type of treatment and environmental conditions.
The durability of wood in water depends on the type of wood and conditions it is exposed to. Generally, untreated wood can start deteriorating in water within a few weeks to a few years. However, certain types of wood, like teak or cedar, are naturally resistant to water and can last much longer. Regular maintenance and treatment with waterproof coatings can also help extend the lifespan of wood in water.
yes you should waterproof it but the wood will not last as long as usual because outdoor carpet holds water and will rot the wood in time.
Wood floats in water because it is less dense than water. However, when a piece of wood is submerged for a long time, it can become waterlogged, making it denser and causing it to sink. As the water evaporates from the wood, it becomes less dense again and returns to the surface.
Wood can start to rot within weeks if it is continuously exposed to water. The exact time frame can vary depending on factors like the type of wood, temperature, and oxygen levels present. Regular maintenance and proper sealing can help prevent wood rot.
MDF furniture won't last quite as long as real wood, but it's much cheaper and may be a better alternative.
Wood cabinets can last for a long;long time. I have a friend who has had woods cabinets for about ten years and they are perfectly fine. There is nothing even wrog with her wood cabinets at all. They are still about as good as new.
Cedar doesn't rot because it is water resistant and if it isn't sealed it will last you pretty long. It can last up to 8 years if not sealed *After "8 years" then what? Cedar rots like any other wood if you wait long enough. How long depends on factors such as how much water can get trapped where two cedar parts touch or how severely it is constantly dried out (dry rot).
morning wood usaully last untill the morning
it has wood underneath it that keeps it up under the wood is all water.
hard wood, other wood suckzProbably Teak - it can last a long time, is quite sturdy, and looks great.
Use wood material because wood is hard and it will last a long time. You can get some information from some websites to help you. Choose the wood cabinet so it can last.
