Answer

It depends on the specific gravity of the liquid

as an example for oil 1 litre is equal to 0.912kgs, as the specific gravity of water is 1 so 1 litre of water is equal to 1 kg....

Answer

A liter is a measure of volume and a gram is a measure of weight (or, more correctly, mass). Neither term can be expressed in terms of the other. Apples cannot be expressed in Oranges.

Answer

you would certainly have to know the density of the substance in question. If you said a litre of water of example, and you asked the same question, I would first have to look up the density of water......at normal temperature range its about 1000kg/m^3, so you have to know how much mass is in a meter cubed first!

1 litre = 0.001 metres cubed

so, how many grams of water in a litre? Its 0.001*1000kg = 1kg of water

What if it was lead? do you think it would be 1kg? No because lead is very heavy! Remember, unless you know the substance, you cant know how many grams are in a unit of volume.
