Volvo recommends using a synthetic oils that is 30/5. They have 30/5 oils for vehicles over 150k miles that work just fine.
You do not need to worry about that. Toyota uses stable transmission fluid that can last way pass 150K miles. Unless you have problems with the transmission, you do not need to worry about it.
Bought used Maxima 2004 for 7k at 150k miles....it is over 155k miles as of feb 2013.....appreciate the owners who took care of the car and the car's running smooth....no problems as of now..
That depends on how well the vehicle is maintained. 100 to 150K miles before major engine refresh is not out of the ordinary with the new cars. However , is you do not maintain the unit don't expect to get good service out of it.
