Another tip: The A/F size of a standard M12 bolt or nut is 19mm, so close to 3/4" that the latter spanner will work - but be aware that this is the only co-incidence between metric and inch-based fastenings; and the M-series proportions don't follow a very consistent path!

The M12 Bolt has the following measurement in millimeters; Hole is 12 millimeters, Embodiment depth is 60 millimeters, Fixture clearance hole is 14 millimeters, Center spacing is 140 millimeters, and Edge distance is 100 millimeters.

An ISO-Metric ('M'-series), M12 bolt has a shank and thread outside diameter of 12mm - the number after the 'M' in this range is the diameter.

Simple as that. Oh, and an M12 standard hexagon takes a 19mm A/F spanner or socket.
