It is scientific name for humans. Scientists have developed a system to name all the species on this planet. Each animals has a species name and a genus name.
Some scientists are people that explore the world and try to tell us about the planet but we don't understand!
Actually, there are a variety of methods to know about the existence of different species. In some cases, scientists rely on past writings from respected men and women who had discussed those species. In other cases, as modern biologists, entomologists, oceanographers, and others make interesting new discoveries, they want to determine links to past species or find out how old a particular discovery really is. A common technique is to use carbon dating to determine how old a species is/was. Some scientists do extensive research on the history of a given species, looking at what information exists about it and what new information has been published. There are new species being discovered on a regular basis, and I enclose a link to a publication that follows these discoveries.
The instrument scientists use to observe the planets is a high powered telescope.
Scientists would use the Doppler Effect to calculate the distance to a Star which had the newly-discovered planet.

The largest rainforest on the planet is the Amazon Rainforest. Therefore, it contains the largest variety or fauna and flora of any rainforest on planet earth. It is believed to have so many species of monkeys living in it, that scientists believe that there are more to be discovered!
There are many species of ants on this planet.

mars. now tell me why they think that?
Because there is no credible evidence to indicate they have.

Extinction is an intrinsic part of the evolution of new species, and is a direct consequence of the forces of natural selection. However, unlike the divergence of species (a process called speciation), one or more species can go extinct at variable rates. For example, marsupial mammals disappeared (from the larger continents)over a long period of time as they lost out to placental mammals. However, most species today disappear at alarmingly rapid rates because of the loss of their habitat.
rainforest ecosystem, which is a habitat characterized by high levels of biodiversity and complex interactions between species. These ecosystems are crucial for maintaining the balance of our planet's ecosystems and provide valuable services such as carbon storage, climate regulation, and medicines.
Scientists do not believe that any planet ever crashed into Venus.
Scientist theorize that a planet-sized object collided with earth and the moon formed
