The key in any experiment is in keeping the number of variables to a minimum. Yours is a bit tough since your results are going to be anecdotal and subjective. In other words, you probably aren't doing any force calculations on actual hair samples. You will just be visually assessing how well different products hold up. I recommend testing more than one person (round up four or five friends who owe you favors). If everyone's hair acts the same way, then your results will be more valid. You also will need to set some test parameters. You could test the effect of things like wind, temperature, humidity, and time. My guess is that you will find that different products excel at different things. Good luck!
What is hairspray good for other than spraying hair? Could you use it to preserve flowers? Can it be used as a form of glue, for sticking photographs (or whatever) onto cardboard? I know you can also use a can of hairspray as a blowtorch, but I do not recommend this for a science fair project, since it is much too dangerous. Stick to safer applications.
It might be difficult to buy genetically engineered seeds for a science project. The seeds are patented, so the company that created the GM seeds holds the rights to the seeds. Monsanto is one of those companies and in the past they have not allowed their seeds to be used for experimentation without their permission. You could; however, contact Monsanto or another company that has developed GM seeds and ask them if you could buy some for your project.
dropper! i believe your refering to a watch glass
Science is the base of knowledge comprising exploration, investigation, and discovery into all of the processes and dynamics of the universe. People are often fascinated by science because it holds answers to many curiosities and questions that we have about why things are the way they are and how the world and universe work. Through understanding the science behind things, we can also better understand how to improve our quality of life.
Not so much as a scientist, although he holds more honorary doctorates (Oxford and Cambridge, among them) than he can count on two hands. His major contribution to science is popularizing it through his documentaries.
Chemical bonds. For example, with ionic bonds it is the attraction of opposite charges. With covalent bonds it is the sharing of electrons.
Individuals have their own opinion as to what hairspray holds the best. Hairspray holds differently to different types of hair. Some good hairsprays that you may try are, Suave, Aussie, and Herbal Essence.
Personaly I think Hairgel holds better, however it leaves a shiny greasy effect on your hair which hairspray dosen't.
garnier
Usually some type of freeze hairspray. They are non-sticky and dry quickly.
Gel.
Hypothesis:Bounty is the strongest paper towel. It holds the most water. It holds 29.7ml of water.
the funny thing is is that this was my science fair project....and i...um "found" out that Stride lasts the longest....... lol
Gel
hair gel holds it in place for a longer period of time but it makes your hair very hard and gives it a greasy kind of look sometimes and hairspray gives it a more natural look.
i think they use hairspray and holds but im not sure
i would sayy hairspray, but that will always depend on the brand and level of hold gel is also good, but your hair becomes quite greasy hairsprayy :]
