water is not a living object.
Given the basic attributes of living matter:
1.) Growth- water does not grow.
2.) Movement- Water moves with the presence of external force.

3.) Response to Stimulus- water does not pat you back when you pat it. right?

therefore, water is not a living object. properties of living matter are not manifested by it.

Wrong!
Water is an object. Grow? as in changes in size and shape? Yes- it does that. Movement- Yes it moves without external force- it evaporates, the vapor turns into rain... etc... Response to stimulus- it most certainly does! Think about movement in plate tectonics, one small movement and water can respond in extreme ways.

Does every non-living thing have water in it?

No. Say a printer, for instance. A printer is a nonliving thing because it doesn't carry out the life functions, or have organs. It is a nonliving object, that has no water in it. So to answer you question, not all nonliving things have water in them.

Is a car a living object or a nonliving object?

A car is a nonliving object. It is an inanimate object made of metal, plastic, and other materials, and does not possess biological functions such as growth, reproduction, or metabolism. Unlike living organisms, cars do not respond to stimuli or have the ability to maintain homeostasis.

What observation could lead to the conclusion that an object is nonliving?

An observation that could lead to the conclusion that an object is nonliving is the lack of biological functions, such as growth, reproduction, or response to stimuli. For example, if an object does not undergo any changes over time, does not react to environmental conditions, and cannot maintain homeostasis, it is likely nonliving. Additionally, the absence of cellular structure and metabolic processes further supports this conclusion.
