Scientists have discovered how to take certain cells from one animal and combine them with others to genetically manufacture things like frogs with transparent skin, luminous mice and they have made clones of sheep. look up 'dolly the sheep' for more info. Other adances include the new large hadron collider ie. apocalypse machine (thing that people think will create a black hole that will destroy the world even though there is only a 1 in 50billion chance that that will happen). The large hadron collider is being used t try and find the smallest things on earth. it is a 27km long circular tube in the valleys of Switzerland/sweden i forget and they put the smallest particles they can get manually into it and speed it up until it nearly reaches the speed of light and then they put in another one going the opposite way until they collide with such force that they break up even smaller and they keep on doing this until it won't get any smaller or they create a black hole and they all die.
