It's the same principle of a stop sign. Stop signs are red because the bright color naturally warns you of a potential situation. Brightly colored poisonous frogs for example, are trying to warn the possible threat first through visuals as a warning to stay away so that the possible threat can avoid the more serious poison. It's called posturing. It's natural in both the animal and human world as way to avoid unnecessary confrontation. Just because the critter is poisonous doesn't imply that it intends to use the poison. In humans, a direct example can be taken from the history of warfare. The vaunted and famous former British Empire fielded troops in their armies wearing red. They also wore tall black hats. The hats added emphasis to the physical size of the individual while the red coats emphasized presence, or more appropriately the size in massed numbers. The psychological factor here was to posture in a brilliant display of perceived strength so that the enemy would second guess itself and submit or back-off. The guns the soldiers carried weren't ever directly meant to be used unless of course the posturing failed. Same thing as poison. Both poison and bullets come sparingly, so the frog or the person has to always use discretion when choosing to use it's lethal element against it's threat. The colors warn you of this. Now of course, evolution has interlopers and some nonpoisonous animals like the king snake use bright colors to fool and posture other critters into the belief that they are poisonous when as a matter of fact, they are not.
poisn arrow frog
The ones that stand out are very poisonous so they advertise the fact.
Both, depending on the bug. Some bugs are attracted to heat, like sandflies, and some others are attracted to light, like moths. There are even more things that bugs are attracted to. Mosquitoes are attracted to carbon dioxide, a gas that you produce by breathing out!
Yes it is,every part of the plant is poisonous.if you contact it might cause itchiness
Medicines ,food ,animals ,and weather
Yes, it can. A shadow is caused by the interruption of light from a single source. If you have more than one light source, you can have more than one shadow. Some shadows may not be as distinct (diffused light, shadow on brightly lit surfaces, etc.), and multiple shadows will practically always overlap to some extent.
Some different species of birds
No. Some frogs are brightly colored to mimic a poisonous frog so that predators do think it is poisonous.
Peacock butterfly caterpillars are not poisonous to humans. There are some caterpillars that are poisonous, usually these are brightly colored caterpillars.
1) They live in a level of the rainforest that protects them from predators. (ex: small climbing animals go higher to get away from large animals on the forst floor) 2) They have developed adaptations that help them. (ex: some birds make hanging nests that keep eggs away from predators) 3) They can be very brightly colored. This is either for attracting a mate, or to keep from being eaten. (ex: poisonous frogs are brightly colored, so some harmless frogs may be brightly colored to make predators think they're poisonous)
Animals are brightly coloured for different reasons: a. To blend in with their surroundings. (Some animals are dark coloured instead for the same purpose, though.) b. To attract a mate. (Usually the males are more brightly coloured, which is unfair.) c. To attract their prey.
Because they are trying to warn predators that they are poisiness
To attract pollinators.
Assuming you mean why are some animals brightly colored:There are multiple reasons animals are brightly colored. Probably the top two reasons are:To attract a mate, by showing they're ready for sex.To warn others they are ready and equipped to defend themselves.Etc.
i do not know sorry
the brightly colored petals help attract some agent like bees and insect which helps the flowers to polinate
Flowers are brightly colored to attract other insects and animals. This is a mode of pollination through agents like insects and animals. When the insects come in contact of the flower, the pollen grains stick to their feet and are transferred to another plant.
Yes, eye shadow can be poisonous to some living things. It is not poisonous to humans, but it can be poisonous to animals.
