Master Nikola Tesla was born in Serbia at the stroke of midnight on 10 July 1856, during an electrical storm. He came to America where he became a United States citizen. He is/was the greatest and most under-appreciated, under-credited and unrecognized scientific mind to ever walk the planet.

Nikola Tesla was born in Croatia "at the stroke of midnight" with lightning striking during a summer storm. At the moment of his birth, the midwife said, "He'll be a child of the storm," to which his mother answered, "No, of light!"

Tesla completed his elementary education in Croatia. He continued his schooling in the Polytechnic School in Graz and finished it at The University of Prague in Czechoslovakia. He worked as an electrical engineer in Germany, Hungary and France before emigrating to the United States.

Tesla sailed to America from his home of Croatia in 1884, arriving with four cents in his pocket. He found immediate employment with Thomas Edison - a research scientist.
