Think of it this way: a solid will not form into its container. (ex. a brick wont fit in a container smaller than it) therefore it has a definite shape.
A liquid will conform into a a container, so it it considered that forms of matter other than solids (like gases, liquids, and plasmas) have no definite shape.
Matter, in science, is a substance which has the qualities of inertia, and gravitation. Matter may or may not float, depending upon its density and shape. Matter is in no way synonymous with float. The concepts are utterly different.
in science, freezing means change of matter from a liquid state to a solid state.
A property is what characteristics something has.
Solid: Molecules are close together and attracd to each, evenly space and are rigidly fix. Force is transimitted in a straight direction. A solid will retain its shape outside of its container. Gas: Molecules are losely arrange and are not rigidly attracted to each other. Force is transmitted equally and evenly in all directions when comfined. It will not retain the shape of it's contain if left unconfinned. It will assume the shape of its contianer. Liquid: Moeclues are similar to gas whose molecules are semi-rigid and evenly spaced. It transmitts force the sam as a gas and assume the shape of its container. Plasma: Acts similar as a gas but can be made to become rigid like a solid. It is what some would say is a combination of a solid and gas. Solid: Molecules are close together and attracd to each, evenly space and are rigidly fix. answ2. A solid is of a fixed shape and is very difficult to compress.A liquid is rather incompressible, but is free to take the shape of part of the container which holds it.A gas is free to take up all the volume of its container, and is very compressible.A1. I'm sorry, but we do not know what sentences you want us to choose. Here could be an example though : A Liquid is a state of matter where particles are farther apart from each other than in Solid forms of matter, and closer together than in Gas forms of matter. Hope that helped, but we would actually need to know the examples, or you could at least tell us what you mean by describing.
Its a solid.
By "value" you mean "volume," yes? If so, the answer(s) are gas and plasma.
It is a large coherent body of matter without a definite shape
Atoms make up matter. Inside of atoms are electrons (negitive charge), protons (positive charge), and nuetrons (no charge). If you mean the States of Matter . . . There are 3 main States of Matter. Solid, Liquid, & Gas. Solid: Particles are packed closely together, and solids have a definite shape and a definite volume. Liquid: Particles are loosely packed, have no definite shape but a definite volume. Gas: Particles are spread out, and have no definite shape and no definite volume. There is a 4th state of matter, Plasma, but that only occurs in very hot temperature. Like stars for example. P.S. Lava is liquid, NOT plasma, even though it is very hot!
matter with a definite shape and volume and has tightly packed particles that move mainly by vibrating
Do you mean no definite shape or volume? If so, then it would be a gas. A gas will take the shape of its container and the particles are spread out so it can be compressed allowing its volume to change. I also believe that a plasma would answer this question but a lot of the time, the first three states of matter are focused on.
The three states of matter is solid, liquid, and gas and solid mean thick it has definite shape, mass, and other thing i forgotLiquid means that it has the shape of it's containerGas is the air we breathe
A shape is intangible, it's just an outline or configuration of something else. So it is neither a solid, liquid, or gas... it isn't matter. However, I do think you mean to say, "Which forms a definite shape: a solid, liquid, or gas?". In this case, only a solid has a definite shape. Liquids and gases take on the shape of its container, which can vary. Solids are the only state of matter that have their own shape, not dependent on a container.
physical state defines the shape size and the form in which the matter exist in nature
They do not have the exact volume or shape.
No definite volume or shape.
I'm assuming you mean state. Solids have a definite shape, unlike liquids, which take the shape of their container, and gases, which completely fill their container.
