SaturatedYou may take it as for example we say Alkanes are saturated hydrocarbons so the term saturated means that it is no more soluble = Alkanes are insoluble hydrocarbons

Well if your referring to saturated/unsaturated hydrocarbons then.....

Saturated means that there are ONLY carbon-carbon single bonds

Unsaturated means there are at least one carbon-carbon double bond

Saturated substances are: less reactive (as it only has single bonds), stronger dispersion forces, thus higher melting points then unsaturated substances---but still quite low.

Unsaturated substances: more reactive (double bond(s)), have weaker dispersion forces (than saturated) because the single and double carbon-carbon bonds cannot "pack"/"bind" together nicely as compared to all single bonds. Weaker dispersion forces results in a v.weak melting point

A saturated solution means that the solution cannot take anymore solvent. For example, stir some sugar in tea and you will see the sugar dissolve. That is a solution. Now keep adding sugar until the sugar does not dissolve anymore. That is a saturated solution.

No double bonds.

Double bonds look like this: C=C

Single bonds look like this: C-C

Note: the C is an example, any element can replace it.

What does saturated mean in science terms?

A saturated solution contains only a maximum amount of solute. (what is being dissolved)

What is does saturated mean?

a saturated solution is a one in which no more solute can be dissolved at that temperature.

What is a solution that can dissolve no more than solute?

This solution is called a saturated solution, when the solution will dissolve no more of a solute.

A solution in which the dissolved solute is in equilibrium with undissolved solute?

A saturated solution.

What solution is more concentrated in saturated solution?

A super saturated solution.

What solution cannot dissolve any more solute under specified conditions?

A solution that does not allow any more solute to dissolve (at room temperature) is called a SATURATED SOLUTION. But a saturated solution can be made to dissolve more solute by heating it. Then it is called a super saturated solution. The solvent becomes saturated and the no more solute will disolve

What solutions one that contains as much solute as can be dissolved in the solvent?

That solution is called saturated.

What is the name of a solution that contains maximum amount of solute at a given temperature?

Solutions can either be unsaturated, saturated, or supersaturated. In the case of your question, a solution with the maximum amount of dissolved solute is deemed to be saturated.

How can you make a super saturated solution out of a saturated solution?

You have to Heat it!

A solution that contains all the solute it can hold at a given temperature?

It is called a saturated solution. This is created by adding in solute until no more solute dissolves. Then the excess solute is filtered. This works much better for a saturated solution at room temperature, as when the solution hits the filter paper, some will come out because it is colder.

How does a graph show a saturated solution and a unsaturated solution?

A graph can illustrate what solution is saturated and unsaturated. If the point is on the line, then the solution is saturated, while if is below the line, the solution is unsaturated.

What does super saturated mean in science?

A solution that is not able to absorb any more solute or solvent
