The particles are bonded together with some force when heat is supplied the then force between particles decreases and the start to move away from each other or we can say that the particles get that energy and become energetic and movement starts in individual particle and the force between the particles decrease. This is why when water is heated the particles detach from each other become steam.
In a solid, the particles start to vibrate a lot.In a liquid, the particles begin to move around faster and faster. In a gas, the particles move extremely fast through the air.
The liquid will expand, it's volume will increase. If it becomes heated enough, it will evaporate (turn into a gas). The more heated it becomes, the more its volume must increase to keep the same pressure.
When matter is heated it will expand
The Particles Vibrate , Causing the liquid to evaporate leaving behind a gas. ! Sophie :)
Liquids, solids and gasses EXPAND when heated- the particles occupy more space.
ummm it will definetely expand....if the materials you"re talking about is the term for science.
the answer is particles !
The motion of particles is accelerated.
The particles in a liguid are bonded (not as strongly as a solid which is why it flows.) when it is heated the particles vibrate and eventually the bonds break and the particles break away. This is evaporation.
The speed of the gas particles will increase as they are heated. That is why the pressure in a container increases. The particles are hitting the walls of the container with more force as they are heated.
they get excited and move around faster
[object Object]
The particles start moving faster and the matter expands.
if they are heated then they turn to a liquid, if that are a soled well they are hard like ice
Thermal expansion occured.
Well what happens to particles in a solid is they slowly vibrate and get further and further apart until they turn into a gas. I had exactly the same question for my homework Thank youNo. your saying that if you put say a pan on a stove it will suddenly turn into a gas?? don't think so pal!The real answer is the particles in a solid vibrate faster when heated this is why metal expands when heated, to accommodate for all of the moving particlesBut if you do heat it up enough, for certain materials, the particles will separate and turn into a gas, or in some cases turn into a liquid.
Its particles acquire greater kinetic energy.
