Quarks
Quark: Up, Down, Top, Bottom, Strange, Charm.
It depends of the flavor of quark Up-2 MeV/c^2 or 3.57 * 10^(-27) grams Down-5 MeV/c^2 or 8.91 * 10^(-27) grams Strange-104 MeV/c^2 or 1.85 * 10^(-25) grams Charm-1.27 GeV/c^2 or 2.26 * 10^(-24) grams Bottom-4.2 GeV/c^2 or 7.49 * 10^(-24) grams Top-171.2 GeV/c^2 or 3.05 * 10^(-22) grams
About 10% in the universe (matter and antimatter) is made of 12 basic elements which contain different types of quarks. But other 90%, which is dark energy and matter - we have no idea what it could be made of. Light is made of photons.
The strong nuclear force is mediated by the gluon and acts on both quarks and gluons themselves. The most common examples of the strong nuclear force are the binding of quarks to form protons and neutrons, and the binding of quarks to form mesons, which in turn are the particles that hold the protons and neutrons together in the nucleus. The weak nuclear force is mediated by the W+, W-, and Z bosons and acts on all 6 flavors of quarks: up, down, charm, strange, top, and bottom; and all 6 flavors of leptons: electrons, electron neutrinos, muons, muon neutrinos, taus, and tau neutrinos.
Yes because if the roots grew randomly then the plant would fall over or grow in a strange way (sideways) because the gravity is not helping support the tree to stand. Another reason is because the gravity is pulling the roots down, therefore the roots will be stronger and let the tree stand up straightly in direction to the centre of the earth.
a quark. I'm not sure about 'beauty' but there are 6 types of quarks. These are up, down, charm, strange, top, bottom. Beauty may be an alternate name for one of these.
Up, Down, Strange, Charm, Top, BottomIf you don't know what a Quark is it don't matter you still got 'em.And with Leptons and Bosons, unless somethings amiss. They make up everything we can see and that we know exist.-Strange Charm by Hank Green(Side note: there are things that exists that don't have quarks, but those are particles we don't generally deal with, except for electrons, which are not made of quarks..)They are known as flavors, but the 6 types are Up, Down, Strange, Charm, Top, Bottom
Up down strange charm top bottom
There are six quarks, the up, down, charm, strange, top, and bottom quarks.
The six "flavors" of quarks are: up, down, top, bottom, charm and strange. All of them have 1/2 a spin. Up, top and charm all have a charge of +2/3. Strange, down and bottom all have a charge of -1/3.
Quark: Up, Down, Top, Bottom, Strange, Charm.
