No. Frequency is a quotient, or proportion (it is a division). Common frequencies are miles per hour (miles/hour), cycles per second (as in sound-- 440 sound waves per second is the standard pitch A). So frequency is the number of the 'thing' you are observing, divided by the amount of time you observed.

A wave consists of peaks and troughs called 'nodes' ( minimum or zero displacement) and 'antinodes' (maximum or peak displacement)

One complete wavelength is measured from one antinode, or peak, to the next peak.

Similarly you could measure every second node, as the wave passes through zero displacement twice to make one complete wave.

The frequency of a series of continuously generated waves is the number of waves arriving per second and is measured in cycles per second or Hertz (Hz).

Frequency divided by the wavelength gives you the period of oscillation, or one complete wave, as above.

Example :- The note A to which an orchestra tunes to is measured at 440Hz,
