The Endosymbiotic Theory is a theory about how mitochondria and chloroplasts formed. The theory suggests that both the mitochondria and chloroplasts were once prokaryotic cells that were ingested but not digested by eukaryotic cells. This would explain why both have their own DNA.
The theory of Endosymbiosis explains the origin of chloroplasts and mitochondria and their double membranes.
Both contain DNA
The first eukaryotic organisms were formed by the process known as endosymbiosis whereby once independent microorganisms entered cells of other independent microorganisms and established symbiotic relationships with each other.
It is a scientific theory
heliocentric theory, the theory of evolution, relativity theory
Theory-practice-theory take existing theory in education, apply to distance learning, develop new theory Practice-research-theory see what is happening in distance learning, submit to research, develop theory from results Theory-theory-research/practice build on an initial theory to develop a second theory, then apply and test it
Lynn Margulis ;)
The Endosymbiotic theory of Lynn Margulis.
This is the endosymbiotic theory.
Lynn Margulis first proposed the theory of endosymbiosis.
Eukaryotes
Endosymbiotic theory describes that.It shows photosynthetic and aerobic bacteria engulfed by eulariyotic cells turned into chloroplst and mitochondria.
Since it is a theory, it can not be determined if it is in fact true. There are some who believe it and some who do not believe it.
Chloroplasts and mitochondria according to the endosymbiotic theory.
endosymbiotic theory
Endosymbiotic Theory
Mitochondria and chloroplasts reproduce independently from the cell.
The endosymbiotic theory explains the origin of chloropasts and mitochondia. Symbiosis is the mutual benefit of two organisms living together. This was the basis of the theory.
