Oldest fossils have been found in many areas of the Great Persian Empire. This was in ancient history, when Cyrus The Great ruled Persia. At the time of his rule many archaeologists found fossils dating back to 1 billion years ago from creatures never thought of by any human. Persia is modern day Iran, and is going through many revolutions, however if you ever decide to go there, there is a Museum called, "Kootlet", it contains many of the most ancient fossils ever discovered by man kind!
