Atoms are frequently measured in picometers. A picometer is 1x10^-12m, or 0.000000000001m. as per me, it is measured in fermimeter, which is 1x 10-15 m.

One COULD use meters or centimeters, but the more common unit used is a "fermi."

1 fermi = 10^-15 meters, about the size of a nucleus
