Microorganisms are living things and like all living things carry out the 7 life processes. Micro organisms include virus, bacteria, protozoa and fungi. There are debates regarding the classification of virus as a living organism.

Movement: some microbes move around freely on their own. They can be carried from place to place by wind, water or other organisms.

Reproduction: mcroorganisms like bacteria and yeast reproduce by cell division. some like fungi also produces spores.

Sensitivity: Most microbes would move away from light. They would also move towards water or moist condition. Generally, they move away from hostile conditions to favourable conditions.

Growth: microbes grow from small sizes to larger sizes. Growth can easily be observed in mushroom, a fungus.

Respiration: release of energy from organic materials. in the presence of oxygen, microbes respire to release carbon dioxide and energy (aerobic respiration). However, in the absence of oxygen, microbes respire to release ethanol and some energy.

Excretion: microbes release unwanted waste materials such as carbon dioxide from body surfaces through the process of diffusion or through other structures.

Nutrition: most microbes are parasites. For example virus depend on a living host to feed and carry out all live processes. Fungi can live as parasites or saprophytes.

What are livig things?

Living things, or organisms, are entities that exhibit characteristics such as growth, reproduction, metabolism, response to stimuli, and adaptation to their environment. They can be classified into various categories, including plants, animals, fungi, and microorganisms. Living things depend on energy, typically derived from their surroundings, to carry out essential life processes. Additionally, they are made up of cells, which are the fundamental units of life.

Are the smallest part of a living thing that can carry out life processes?

a bone transplant of any kind.I learned this when my class was learning about body transplants all over the world :D

The eight life processes. what are they?

actually the life processes are as follows: nutrition excretion digestion respiration reproduction & nervous system are not considered in life processes because if a person is not reproducing or if he/she is in coma ... he/she will not die they will still be alive so these two processes are not considered in life process.

What if there was no micro organisms on earth what will happen?

Microorganisms are the basis of many processes that sustain life. If all the microorganisms on earth were to suddenly disappear, then the nitrogen cycle would be immediately disrupted, as nitrification would no longer occur. Many oxygen generating bacteria would be gone. The human body itself contains many symbiotic microorganisms, although the actual effect their disappearance might cause is unclear.

What living thing carries out the seven life processes?

All living things, including plants, animals, and microorganisms, carry out the seven life processes which are: nutrition, respiration, movement, excretion, growth, reproduction, and sensitivity. These processes are essential for the survival and functioning of living organisms.

What is the smallest unit that can carry on the processes of life?

The smallest unit that can carry on all the processes of life is a cell. The cell membrane is made of phospholipids.

No

Are bacteria are multiple-celled microscopic organism yes or no?

No, bacteria are not multiple-celled organisms; they are unicellular microorganisms. Each bacterium consists of a single cell, which can carry out all necessary life processes independently.

What is a living thing that can carry out life processes on its own?

An organism is a living thing that can carry out life processes on its own. Organisms can grow, reproduce, maintain homeostasis, respond to stimuli, and obtain and use energy to carry out these processes independently.
