Isaac newton had sun in Capricorn so that would make him a Capricorn in normal astro-lingo. This would give him disciple and a desire to work on perfecting details. His sun was near the IC (lowest point or beneath the earth) which would strengthen it as well. Of course his Mercury was strong as one would imagine it would be. It was in the philosophical sign of Sagittarius trine to Lilith and very closely square to Saturn, this would add even more "serious" and perfecting reasoning power to his mind. The most interesting and significant thing about his chart are the two yods to Lilith involving Saturn, Sun, Jupiter and IC. This would make him a deep thinker and mystical person which he clearly was. (A yod is two 150 degree angles connected by a sextle -- a 30 degree angle)

Newton was a pioneering astrologer himself. Both Astronomers and Mathematicians like to claim him as one of "their" pioneers but in fact it was his quest to perfect the prediction of planetary positions for "Astrological workings" which led him on the quest to develop calculus and study the planets.
