The laser beam is a highly monochromatic source of light. It consists of only one wavelength and hence does not get dispersed by using a glass prism.

Why a laser beam cannot be dispersed by passing through a glass prism?

Because laser light consists of only one frequency (color), so there's nothing to spread out.

Is a telescope with incoming light passing through glass refracting?

refracting

Light energy passing through matter unaffected?

Light cannot pass though matter but matter is technically atoms, which are mostly space with a few, moving objects - electrons and the nucleus. For glass, the loss of light through the material occurs for all glass.

How are refraction and dispersion demonstrate in light?

Using a glass of water, you can demonstrate both principles. 1. Place a spoon halfway submerged in the water. Note that when you look through the side surface of the water, the spoon appears to be bent, or disjointed, at the surface of the water. This is due to refraction of the light passing through the water to your eye. 2. Place the glass of water several inches in front of a white background. place a bright a light source in front of the glass/background. Note that the area behind the glass is not as brightly lit as the rest of the background. This is because the light passing the water is dispersed and fewer Photons/Area are hitting the background. That is to say, there is less light density behind the glass where the light was dispersed. Note that the opposite effect (brighter behind the glass) can occur, if the glass of water acts as a "Focusing lens" due to its shape!

Can zombies brake through glass on min craft?

In Minecraft, zombies cannot break through glass on their own. They may try to attack you if they see you through the glass, but the glass will prevent them from physically breaking through.

Why does a glass bottle magnify words?

Because the surface of the bottle is curved - which bends the light passing through it - just like a magnifying glass does.

Is glass window a semiconductor?

glass does not and cannot allow electricity to flow through and around it so no...

Does smoke create rainbows?

Light passing through a transparent medium like glass/water does. Smoke is made of small particles of unburnt carbon, and light passing through is does not get split into a rainbow.

How does a U V reptile light work if uv light cannot go through the glass globe itself?

Good question, the idea that U.V. light cannot pass through glass is a modern delusion perpetuated by the press. Studies in the States show more cancer cases on the left of the body due to U.V. passing through the door window. The U.V. is blocked from coming through the windscreen by the plastic layer in the middle. (If you have a laminated windscreen. Compulsory in the States but not everywhere)

Can glass protect from monsters Minecraft?

Zombies, skeletons and spiders cannot get to you providing there is not a gap big enough for them to get through. Creepers can smash glass when they explode, and skeletons can shoot through gaps but if you are in a sealed room monsters cannot get through. V3n0m531

How is light affected when passing through water?

Light is affected by everything it touches. If it touches a glass of water, it *refracts* (bends).
