One of the major reasons for endangered species is habitat loss. Also, people are cutting down trees and they are polluting the lakes, rivers, ponds, and any other water you see outside. Also there has been a lot of fires and a lot of floods. Another reason is that people have been littering. People have been throwing trash on the roads and near wildlife areas. One of the major reasons for endangered species is habitat loss. The hand of man has accelerated extinction on a massive scale in the last two centuries. People traveled to islands where they had never been, bringing cats and dogs along with them. The creatures on these islands had not developed any defense against such predators. We killed others for food, thinking they were so abundant they could never be completely wiped out. But all one has to do is read the story of the passenger pigeon to see how foolish that notion was. I only pray that in the future we will learn to be better stewards of this planet and the creatures that call it home. Extinction is forever.
Because of litter, and CO2, or smoke in the air which makes the weather in some places get warm, so that Polar Bears, etc, that are living at the North or South Poles who need cold air to survive on the ice will die if it all melts. So make sure you pick up litter and next time ride a bike or something that does not run on gas or electricity. Everyone needs to do their part to help in the world.
Endangered animals r a problem because people are so stupid by causing so much pollution and damage to the earth the animals and us are suffering! >:(
Because they don't want any animals to become extinct...
There are several good international lists. The International Union of Conservation for Nature, also known as the IUCN Red List. The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species, or CITES. The US Fish and Wildlife (US FWS) Endangered Species List, is another good list that is fairly complete internationally. For more details, and links to these sites, please see the "related link" below.
today's species evolved from those of the past.
when scientist
They were not scientist as we would see it today the were bicicle mechanics.
More specifically, the United States has 616 scientists representing 61.6% of all leading scientists. Eight out of ten scientists in the top 1% come from the United States, the other two are from Canada.
In 1984, scientists discovered the population of pandas was quickly dwindling. it was then they were added to the endangered species list and are still there today.
Giant pandas were removed from the endangered list in 2016 and are now considered to be a vulnerable species. Scientists estimate that there may be 2000 to 3000 pandas in the wild today.
No. Not any more they were taken off the endangered species list in 1999.
Different shark species landed on the endangered species list at different times. Some species of critically endangered sharks include the ground shark, dogfish, and the angel shark.
Bald eagle
Sadly there are many endangered species today. These endangered spesies are expected to become extict if people do not try to help them. There are many animal shelters in many diffrent places that try especially to save as many animals as they can. Endangered species are determened when the number of the kind of animal is low.
Scientists estimate that there are more then 9,000 species of Cnidarians identified.
The bald eagle made an amazing comeback after protection steps were taken, and is no longer an endangered species. Quite common in many areas now.
Name two endangered animal and why they are becoming extinct?
Threatened means that the animal is vulnerable to extinction and the population of the animal is declining. (ex: Certain species of whale population are being threatened.) Endangered means that the animal will soon be extinct if nothing is done about it. Some endangered animals are being bred in captivity until their numbers increase enough to be released back in the wild. (ex: Bald Eagles are an endangered species of bird. Pandas are an endangered species of bear.) Extinct means that the animal has completely died out and there aren't any left of this species. (ex: Dinosaurs are an extinct species of reptile. Dodo is an extinct bird.) Here's a visual: Threatened-------------> Endangered---------------> Extinct
Scientists believe that changes in the Earth's climate cause extinction of trees;P
extinct means there are no species alive today eg a dodo, endangered means is in danger of dying out eg a panda. i suggest you look in a dictionary for a more accurate answer :)
