Violent updrafts and turbulence that can place stresses on the airframe outside of design limits.
I took glider pilot classes years ago and they told us NEVER to enter such a cloud for precisely these reasons, plus the fact that most glider pilots don't carry oxygen. The updrafts in a building cumulus cloud can pull a glider all the way to the top of the cloud, leaving the plane at an altitude where the air has insufficient oxygen to keep the pilot conscious. This not a problem for a pressurized commercial airliner, but the airframe stress is still an issue.
The only lab that is centrifuged is the capsule for training pilots and astronauts to handle high "G" forces.
UAV operators in the United States Navy (USN) are drawn from two different training pools. The soon to be fielded X47 carrier launched drones utilize test pilots who have completed USN undergraduate flight training. UFT is where pilots earn there flight wings, and learn other skills such as survival, evasion and resistance (SERE) training. Helicopter type drones can be piloted by flight school trained pilots, and drone schooled specific operators.
All unvented gas logs must have a safety pilot. Also all vented gas logs that are for propane must have a safety pilot. Vented gas logs that use Natural gas do not require safety pilots as the pressure is half that of propane although I would still recommend safety pilots on all installs.
Hypermodern. Like Robots, cell phones allowed, no pilots (autopilot), bigger restrooms, a shop 3 decks and ,of course, super- luxurious. Welcome!
It is called a mariners compass, it is a instrument that shows the North, east, West and South, and is used by pilots and the sailors.
Large raincloud. There are two parts to this question. The word itself stands for two separate things. Cumulus clouds are the large clouds that often usher in thunderstorms or heavier rains. We also see them in some nicer weather days popping up in fair weather. Pilots call these cumulus clouds popcorn cumulus, or fair weather cumulus because no rain or bad weather is occurring at that moment. They can become bigger issues as the day wears on. Nimbus is the second portion of this word. Nimbus means water is leaving the cloud and hitting the ground. Therefore your cloud is a large puffing storm cloud that is emitting rain that is hitting the ground.
It might shake only when passing through turbulence. Clouds may or may not be turbulent. Pilots learn which are and which are not turbulent. Clouds that occur in even layers are very smooth. Thunderheads and lenticulars are often violent and are usually best avoided.
Airplane pilots "walk on clouds".
radar
Normally, a dark cloud has strong wind currents and possibly some dangerous phenomenons such as lightning or some objects such as hailstones. A plane can get tossed around in these clouds and also get struck by lightning. Although most planes are made for these situations, pilots are advised not to fly air crafts near dangerous clouds due to the fact that air crafts are not completely safe for these conditions.
Yes, navy pilots and air force pilots are military pilots.
When a pilot has to fly through thick clouds, many instruments come into play. These instruments help the pilot navigate the clouds and are known as GPS and Distance Measuring Equipment which prevents collisions in mid air during these weather conditions.
The collective noun for pilots is a crew of pilots.
The collective noun for pilots is a crew of pilots.
The possessive form of the plural noun pilots is pilots'.Example: You will find him in the pilots' lounge.
Weather Radar are used. A weather radar helps a pilot to find out about the weather conditions while flying and they anticipate any changes in the weather.
Yes but these military planes are flown navy pilots or military pilots.
