Here's a good explanation. "When the liquid wax cools down, it contracts and decreases in volume. The liquid wax cools and solidifies from the outside inward. As it cools it goes through gradual phases, from cloudiness, to a slush like consistency, to a paste like mass, and finally a solid. Paraffin is crystalline in nature, so as it cools the crystals "grow" in phase inward toward the center of the mass. Since wax contracts as it cools you will often find that the exposed surface becomes concave or "sinks" in. This is part of the nature of paraffin wax, and though it may be minimized it can not be prevented." http://www.generalwax.com/candle-making/points-of-interest.php
Because the candle uses all the O2 that are inside the jar. That creates a vacuum like sucking the air out of a bottle and let it hang on your tongue.
Some fun things are...put a marble in a cup, light a candle, ring a bell, open a trap door, pour water. The entire principle of the Goldberg contraptions was to show how impossibly complex machinery had to be to do a simple task. Have fun designing your machine.
Pour liquid on it (such as water).
Liquids. They will take the shape of whatever you pour them into. As opposed to solids. Hard to pour a brick into anything.
A liquid. You can pour it onto your salad.
Put simply - yes. Some strictly aerobic organisms will not grow in a pour plate. They may, however proliferate on a streak plate. Also consider the posibility of experimental error. The culture may have been added to the molten agar when it was too hot for the organisms to survive.

Make sure the second pour wax is 10 degrees hotter than the temperature of the original pour.
Melt it all the way down and pour out the unused candle wax, then clean the jar with Hot Soap water. You may have to scoop or dig out some wax that may be left in the jar. There is a less messy way to do this job. You put the candle in the freezer. The molecules will constrict and the candle should pop right out. No messy melted wax or scraping. It works most of the time. Some candles need a little more prying than others.
Use old candle wax , melt it down pour into glass container and let harden. Or you can try melting old newspaers with candle wax for a unique creation.
If you remelt the unscented candle down, you can scent the Candle by using the correct measurement of Fragrance oil to scent the candle, then re-pour the candle in a container and let it sit and cool. Use 1oz of Fragrance oil per lb of wax for your candles.

I'm thinking you don't want to burn the candle but would like to enjoy it's scent. If that's the case, purchase a candle warmer. There are three basic types: One is like a small Crock Pot. A candle jar is set inside and the pot warms the entire candle, melting it and releasing the fragrance. A mug warmer is similar, but the candle is warmed from the bottom up. This takes longer for the wax to melt and fragrance to be released. A top heat lamp is available, This warms the top of a jar candle and releases the scent. Only about the top 1-2" will melt at once. Pour off melted wax after a while if you want more fragrance.
Butter can be poured on pound cake but make sure not to pour to much or it won't taste good.

You can easily make your own scented candle in a glass. Carefully melt a votive candle in the microwave, add a few drops of your favorite essential oil and then pour into a decorative cup or glass.
To make a candle tower (if think you mean candle tower as a melted wax tower), it's actually really simple. First, you're going to want a baseboard (I have a cut sheet of plywood as mine) that you wouldn't mind getting a little dirty. As a strong note, this project gets messy over a large area when the wax splatters. Next, you're going to want to get a base to hold the candle (eg. candlestick, old glass bottle, something of that sort). Then you're going to want to get taper candles (any color or height) to stick in the candle stick. Then light the candle! Once the candle has burned down, stick the next one in. From there all you have to do is keep burning more and more candles to your heart's content. Hope that helped! P.S. Watch for overly hot and humid days. Wax does melt when the temperature gets over 95, things will start leaning.
