As the name indicates it is "periodic" meaning it repeats.
Russian guy called Mendeleev noticed that certain elements have similar properties. We now know this has to do with valance electrons - can't remember if he knew this.
So he set up this grid of elements with similar properties in columns and in increasing order of atomic weight left to right. This gives the table we know and love.
He was actually able to leave blanks for things that we hadn't discovered becasue he was so sure of the pattern he saw emerging.
Other tables exist.
Because of valence electrons. The might have a different amount of rings, but they will have the same amount of electrons on the outmost shell.
Periodic Table comprises of rows and columns. It is easy to predict properties using this method. This pattern groups the elements with same properties together.
you read it from left to right
It is called the Periodic Table of Elements.
CO3 is not placed in periodic table. Only elements are arranged in periodic table.
The periodic table.
In the modern day periodic table, the periodic table gets wider in periods two, four, and six.

Periodic table lists elements, and not compounds like polyethylene
Periodic table lists elements, not substances like eggs.
Periodic table comprises of rows and columns like in an organised manner. Hence, it is called a table.
