Carbon-14 is produced by the effect of solar radiation on nitrogen-14 in the atmosphere. This is then incorporated into plants during the process of photosynthesis. Animals eat plants (and/or other animals that have eaten plants), so carbon-14 gets into their bodies as well.

∙ 12y agoA living being has a constant amount of C-14 throughout its lifetime as the decaying C-14 is constantly being replenished either through photosynthesis for plants or food consumption for animals or through breathing ensuring that all living things have approximately the same percentage of c-14 in their bodies.

∙ 14y agoCarbon-14 is only one form of carbon; others have differing mass numbers, e.g. carbon-12, carbon-15. Thus it fits the definition of an isotope.
All living things are made of cells, all living things ether need or produce oxygen, all living things reproduce, all living things make and use energy, and all living things adapt to their enviorment.

All are made from matter.
all living things use energy
There are four things that determine if something is living. They are: 1)All living things obey the laws of chemistry and physics. 2)All living things use DNA. 3)All living things require energy. 4)All living things are made up of cells.
Carbon IS found in all living things.
Carbon IS found in all living things.
Ribosomes are the only organelles found in all living things.
So far, all living things have been found here on Earth. This does not mean that no living things will ever be found in outer space, but it hasn't happened yet.
No, all the chemical elements that are found in living things are also found in other places.
Yes. They are found in every living thing.
Atoms are found in all material things, living and non-living.
