The social systems are thought to be so complicated that a mechanical or other kind of physical type of solution would appear to be inappropriate.

Actually this is not so and with the taking of two assumptions, it is possible to treat the social systems as physical ones. These are;

A) THAT THE SYSTEM AS A WHOLE BEHAVES AS THE AGGREGATE OF ITS PARTS

B) THAT THE BEHAVOUR OF ANY ONE PART OF THE SYSTEM IS IDEALIZED INTO RELATIVELY SIMPLE TERMS OF CAUSE AND EFFECT (AS IN REGULAR SCIENCE).

Unfortunately most social scientists lack engineering or exact-scientific training and are unable to develop these kinds of thoughts or analyses. It will need "social engineers" to construct such systems in model form before any significan progress can be made in this science.

To what extent can be scientific approach be apply to society?

The scientific approach can be applied to society to a significant extent by utilizing empirical methods to analyze social phenomena, test hypotheses, and draw evidence-based conclusions. This includes the use of quantitative data, experiments, and observational studies to understand human behavior, social structures, and cultural dynamics. However, the complexity of social systems often introduces variables that are difficult to control, making it challenging to achieve the same level of predictability and objectivity found in the natural sciences. Therefore, while the scientific approach provides valuable insights, it must be complemented by qualitative methods and a consideration of ethical implications in social contexts.

What kind of models come in basic types?

Basic types of models include physical models, which are tangible representations of objects or systems; mathematical models, which use mathematical language to describe relationships and behaviors; and conceptual models, which provide a framework for understanding complex systems through simplified representations. Other types may include statistical models that analyze data to make predictions and simulation models that replicate real-world processes to explore outcomes. Each type serves distinct purposes across various fields, from science and engineering to economics and social sciences.

Why is it of en more difficult to analyze social systems than physical systems?

Social systems involve human behavior, which is highly complex and unpredictable compared to the behavior of physical systems. Factors such as emotions, culture, and individual differences make social systems more challenging to analyze. Additionally, social systems are constantly evolving and influenced by a wide range of variables, making it difficult to establish clear cause-and-effect relationships.

How are social and physical systems different?

Social systems and physical systems differ in terms of their nature and components. Social systems are composed of individuals or groups that interact and influence each other through social and cultural norms, while physical systems refer to the natural or built environment and its physical processes. Social systems are characterized by human behavior and communication, whereas physical systems are governed by scientific laws and physical phenomena.

Are Natural Systems and Unnatural Systems the only 2 types of systems?

There is also a physical and a social system.

What is the difference between physical systems and social systems?

A physical system is a group of physical parts that work together to perform a task. A social system is a group of people or other organisms joining together to perform tasks and establish relationships.

What is the similarity between physical and social system?

They are both systems

What the different between social system and physical system?

Physical systems have non-living parts and require mechanisms to function Social systems have organisms that can establish relationships as well as help each other out

What do physical systems and social systems have in common?

They both can be made by humans and they both can be natural.

How would you compare a social system and a physical system?

physical systems: a group of physical parts that work together to perform a task social systems: a group of people or other organisms, joining together to perform tasks and establish relationships.

What is the similarity between physical systems and social systems Click to see answer?

Both physical and social systems exhibit complex behaviors and interactions among their components. They both can be influenced by feedback loops and exhibit emergent properties that cannot be determined by studying individual components in isolation. Additionally, both types of systems can be understood and modeled using concepts from systems theory.

Is political science a social science or science?

Political science is considered a social science, as it focuses on the study of political systems, behavior, and phenomena in the context of society. It utilizes qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze political processes and structures.

Physical geographers would be least likely to STUDY?

Physical geographers would be least likely to study human activities and their social implications, as their primary focus is on natural processes and features of the Earth, such as climate, landforms, ecosystems, and biogeography. They analyze how these physical elements interact with one another and influence the environment. In contrast, topics related to urban development, cultural landscapes, or economic systems fall more within the realm of human geography.
