There is no reason why mass is not important. The reason for saying that is that

mass is very very very important for a lot of reasons. Everything has mass, so

mass is part of everything that is important. Only ideas do not have mass, but

a lot of people think that a lot of ideas have weight. Also without mass gravity

would have nothing to pull on and we would not know that gravity was there.

So you can see that mass is important and I hope that you will not make this

same mistake again to think that it is not important.

Because according to the big bang theory, that determines the future of the universe:

  1. Big crunch, collapse
  2. Flat universe, smooth expansion forever
  3. Continuing accelerating expansion

However recent observations suggest that about 3 billion years ago the expansion began accelerating. If it continues accelerating at this rate at some point in the future every subatomic particle will be carried so far from every other one it will be impossible for any of them to interact with any other in anyway. The cosmologist have given the supposed cause of this acceleration the name "dark energy".

because if not have mass then no gravitational force of attraction work on earth and you didn't stand on earth very small speed of earth can displace you
